What level of virus checking do you carry out on documents being uploaded by users?
Huddle utilises state-of-the-art packet inspection technology to guard against viruses and other online threats.
As files are uploaded our security systems inspect them - if a threat is found the upload is aborted and the file is not transferred to Huddle's storage servers.
Individual files of 30 MB (uncompressed) are scanned on upload and download, including compressed files.
To maintain the integrity and performance of Huddle, a maximum of 30 files will be scanned within any compressed file. If malware is contained within one of the first 30 files which are scanned, then it will be detected, and the upload will fail.
Nested zip files up to 3 levels deep will be scanned, with each archive (and its contents) counting towards the maximum number of files to be scanned.
Huddle also runs regular scheduled Virus scans on our entire database, but we always recommend you run an up-to-date virus scanner and internet security software on your own computer.
